Aphrodite was the Greek goddess of love and beauty. Zeus, ruler of the Olympian gods, arranged the marriage of Aphrodite and Hephaestus, the God of blacksmiths. Zeus arranged the marriage for political reasons. There was one problem though: Aphrodite was unfaithful and had love affairs with both gods and mortals.
