Judge delays fight over Los Padrinos closure amid receivership call

A Los Angeles judge paused county litigation over Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall's closure pending a September hearing on Attorney General Rob Bonta's receivership request for all county juvenile facilities.

A Los Angeles judge elected Thursday to continue proceedings in a bid by Los Angeles County to block the state-ordered closure of the Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall considering the state attorney general's efforts to place all the county's juvenile detention facilities under receivership.
