Ford, Lemon Law firms clash over amended racketeering complaint

Ford Motor Co.'s $100 million racketeering suit against Knight Law Group and other lemon law firms intensified over the weekend, as defendants filed motions to dismiss and strike, arguing the amended complaint relies on vague allegations, expired claims, and inadmissible accounts of private communications.

Lemon law firms accused of orchestrating a massive billing scheme against automakers alleged Ford Motor Co. improperly amended its complaint using vague second-hand accounts of unspecified private communications to address pleading and statute of limitation issues.
