High court declines Live Nation bid to compel mass claims to New Era ADR

The U.S. Supreme Court denied certiorari, leaving intact a 9th Circuit ruling that found Live Nation's Ticketmaster arbitration agreement unconscionable under California law and not preempted by the Federal Arbitration Act.

On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court denied Ticketmaster parent Live Nation Entertainment Inc.'s petition for certiorari, leaving intact a 9th Circuit ruling that affirmed a district court's refusal to compel arbitration of mass claims.

The decision rejected Live Nation Entertainment Inc.'s bid to coordinate with a new arbitration company, New Era ADR. Live Nation Entertainment Inc. v. Heckman et al., 24-1145 (S. Ct., filed May 5, 2025).
