Attorney warns LA delays on homeless monitors risk receivership

An attorney leading a homelessness lawsuit against Los Angeles warned Monday that receivership is "absolutely still on the table" if the city keeps delaying approval of court-ordered independent monitors overseeing its use of billions in alleviation funds.
However, an attorney defending the city asserted the process is being handled in line with terms of a related settlement and argued attempts to expand the monitors' duties are unwarranted.
