Disney names former Gibson Dunn partner deputy general counsel

Rosemarie T. Ring, who has specialized in complex litigation involving privacy, intellectual property, and emerging technologies, will oversee litigation and patents at The Walt Disney Co.

The Walt Disney Co. has appointed Rosemarie T. Ring, formerly a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, as deputy general counsel for litigation and patents, effective Nov. 3.

Ring will report to David Howard, general counsel for Disney corporate legal. Ring has served as an advisor to technology, media and consumer companies in litigation and government investigations involving privacy, consumer protection, intellectual property and antitrust laws.
