Amco seeks to avoid defending hotel in sex trafficking suit

Amco Insurance sued Paradise Inn seeking a declaration it needn't defend or indemnify the hotel in a sex trafficking lawsuit, citing policy exclusions for abuse and negligent supervision claims.

Amco Insurance Company has sued a client to obtain a declaration that it does not have a duty to defend a hotel in an underlying sex trafficking lawsuit filed by a Jane Doe.

Amco's complaint in Los Angeles County Superior Court says it issued four successive business owners' policies to Paradise Inn from August 25, 2005, through August 25, 2009.
