LA judge set to study in Spain under little-known program

Superior Court Judge Ronald O. Kaye will spend four months in Spain as a visiting scholar, one of only a handful of California judges in recent years to take advantage of the state's little-known judicial sabbatical program.

Starting in August, Superior Court Judge Ronald O. Kaye will spend four months as a visiting scholar at the Universidad de Granada and Universidad de Málaga in Spain. Kaye sits on Los Angeles County's mental health court in Hollywood, and said American judges could learn a lot from their counterparts in other countries.
