Cameo sues OpenAI over use of its name in Sora video app

Baron App Inc., which operates the celebrity video platform Cameo, sued OpenAI in San Francisco federal court, alleging that OpenAI's Sora app infringes on its trademark by using the same "Cameo" name for an AI-generated video feature.

The company that operates Cameo, a digital marketplace that allows consumers to pay for customized videos from celebrities, has sued OpenAI Inc. for trademark infringement because the AI company's Sora app uses the same "Cameo" name.
