OpenAI, Cameo face off over TRO in trademark fight

A federal judge in San Jose will hear Baron App Inc.'s bid for a temporary restraining order against OpenAI over the Sora app's use of the term "cameo," as both sides trade accusations over trademark infringement, dilution and fair use.

OpenAI Inc. and Baron App Inc., which does business as Cameo, are battling it out over a temporary restraining order that will be considered Friday by U.S. District Judge Eumi K. Lee in San Jose in a trademark infringement and dilution lawsuit.
