Hyundai, Kia sued over alleged forced labor in supply chain
A new lawsuit alleges Hyundai and Kia's "California values" marketing clashes with abusive labor practices in Alabama and Georgia factories supplying the companies.
Jobs to Move America filed a lawsuit Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Hyundai and Kia, accusing the automakers of deceiving California government agencies by falsely certifying that their vehicles were free of forced, prison and child labor--claims the nonprofit says were undermined by abusive labor practices in the companies' Southern supply chain.
