Hulu accused of infringing 8 patents tied to targeted advertising

Innovation Technologies Partners sued Hulu, alleging infringement of eight patents covering targeted advertising, data collection, digital rights management, and streaming controls. Hulu defeated similar claims in 2024 in a patent challenge by Piranha Media.

A new federal lawsuit alleges that streaming giant Hulu infringes a series of patents relating to digital rights management, targeted advertising, content delivery, and dynamic insertion of messages or ads into streaming media.

Last year, Hulu defeated similar claims by Piranha Media.
