Sonos says Google's bid for zero damages comes too late

With a key Sonos patent reinstated by the Federal Circuit, the dispute returns to Senior U.S. District Judge William Alsup of San Francisco as the parties battle over whether the $32.5 million damages award can stand.

An attorney for Sonos Inc. argued last week that it is far too late for Alphabet Inc. subsidiary Google to seek a zero-damages outcome rather than pay a $32.5 million patent infringement verdict, saying the company waited until well after trial to raise the argument.
