California State Sen. Scott Wiener's proposed "No Kings Act" expands existing state protections and aims to hold government agents accountable -- reinforcing that no one, not even the president, is above the law.
State Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) recently unveiled Senate Bill 747, otherwise known as the No Kings Act. The act permits California citizens to sue federal officers, agents, and authorities who deprive them of their constitutional rights.
