LA fails to undo court limits on LAPD's less-lethal launchers
A federal judge refused to dissolve an injunction governing LAPD's crowd-control weapons, saying the city's challenge to plaintiffs' standing must wait while appellate proceedings and renewed class certification efforts continue.
A bid by the City of Los Angeles to dissolve a court injunction banning the use of certain types of less-lethal weapons by law enforcement failed Monday in a case involving both the 2020 George Floyd protests and the 2025 anti-ICE demonstrations.
