Elon Musk's xAI turned to the courts in a last-minute attempt to block a California law that was set to go into effect Jan. 1, requiring tech companies to disclose the data they used to train their AI models.

The company -- represented by Clement & Murphy PLLC -- sued California Attorney General Rob Bonta in federal court in Los Angeles on Dec. 29, asking it to declare the law, AB 2013, unconstitutional. X argues that AI models are "only as good as their training"...
