Jury selection began Tuesday in Los Angeles County for a damages-only trial against Southern California Edison regarding the years-long, coordinated Thomas Fire and debris flow litigation.
The trial's first day before Superior Court Judge Elaine Lu was consumed by voir dire, with 150 prospective jurors packing the downtown courtroom to capacity and overflow lines spilling into the downstairs hallway.
