A geochemist testifying for Prologis in a lawsuit over a 2021 "rotten egg" odor in Carson told jurors the smell came from disturbed channel sediments--not a warehouse fire. Plaintiffs challenged his conclusions and compensation during cross-examination.
A geochemist who testified that the 2021 Carson-area "rotten egg" odor event was generated in sediments and not because of a nearby warehouse fire, faced a sharp cross-examination Wednesday as plaintiffs' counsel pressed him on methodology, timing and expert fees.
The defense witness, Dr. Andrew Nicholson of Integral Consulting Inc., took the stand for Prologis Inc. as Paul Hastings LLP partner Peter C. Meier conducted direct examination.
