Judge questions watchdog group's discovery bid in DOJ public records case

Court signals skepticism that California Public Records Act dispute warrants expanded discovery.

SACRAMENTO -- A Superior Court judge appeared skeptical of a conservative watchdog group's argument for more discovery Thursday in a lawsuit claiming the California Department of Justice coordinated with environmental groups leading up to litigation against oil companies.
