Logistics company sues plaintiffs' firm over alleged settlement shakedown
A Carson-based logistics company sued a Los Angeles plaintiffs' firm and former workers, alleging they maliciously prosecuted a fraud case to force payment of settlement funds the company says it never owed.
A Los Angeles plaintiffs' firm, Employee Justice Legal Group PC, is accused of filing a fraud lawsuit against a Carson-based logistics company as part of an effort to force the company to pay settlement money it did not owe.
According to the complaint, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday by Arms Logistics, the dispute stems from a 2019 employment case brought by three former warehouse workers represented by Employee Justice.
