Insurance companies have asked a federal judge to overturn a bankruptcy court approval of a deal allowing some sexual abuse lawsuits against the Catholic Diocese of Sacramento to proceed in state court. The latest brief claims that the agreement was a legal settlement to which the insurers should have been a party -- and which failed to satisfy procedural and evidentiary requirements.
