Federal magistrate judge sanctions plaintiffs' lawyer in Uber MDL

U.S. Magistrate Judge Lisa J. Cisneros ruled that Bret D. Stanley violated a protective order by accessing confidential materials from the Uber sexual assault MDL for use in other cases.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Lisa J. Cisneros sanctioned Bret D. Stanley, an attorney for several plaintiffs in the multidistrict litigation over allegations of sexual assault against Uber drivers, after finding he used confidential discovery materials from the case in another lawsuit against the company.
