LA County sues over alleged fire truck price-fixing scheme

The lawsuit alleges a coordinated multi-year scheme to "roll up" and monopolize the markets for fire trucks and the custom chassis on which they are built.

Los Angeles County has filed an antitrust lawsuit against private equity giant American Industrial Partners (AIP) and major manufacturers REV Group, Oshkosh Corporation and Boise Mobile Equipment, alleging a coordinated multi-year scheme to "roll up" and monopolize the markets for fire trucks and the custom chassis on which they are built.

The lawsuit was filed by the county, the state, and the Consolidated Fire Protection District of Los Angeles County.
