Attorney who filed AI-fabricated briefs accepts stayed suspension
The Los Angeles Superior Court's appellate division found that 21 of 23 case quotations in a brief filed by Amir Mostafavi were fabricated, along with numerous additional false quotations in his reply brief.
A Pacific Palisades attorney who filed appellate briefs riddled with AI-generated hallucinations, has agreed to a recommended one-year stayed suspension, after the State Bar Court approved a discipline stipulation stemming from the misconduct.
