SEC drops accounting case against View CFO

Regulators dismissed with prejudice claims that Vidul Prakash failed to account for $20 million in warranty liabilities after discovery evidence supported the company's accounting.

The Securities and Exchange Commission dismissed its case against smart glass maker View's CFO Vidul Prakash, represented by Morrison & Foerster LLP, in a stipulation filed Friday. The SEC initially argued Prakash failed to account for $20 million in liabilities the company, which makes windows that adjust to the sunlight, allegedly owed warranty holders.
