New U.S. magistrate judge takes bench in Los Angeles

Diana Kwok has practiced at McKool Smith and Sidley Austin LLP and served in positions at the U.S. attorney's office and Securities and Exchange Commission.

Diana M. Kwok was sworn in Monday as a U.S. magistrate judge for the Central District of California, stepping into the Western Division's Los Angeles courtroom to succeed Jean P. Rosenbluth who has retired.

Kwok has experience in commercial litigation and white-collar defense, nearly a decade as a federal prosecutor, and prior service as a staff attorney at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
