Rideshare group sues Uber over driver appeals process
A driver advocacy group alleges Uber has failed to provide the appeals process required under Proposition 22 for drivers removed from its platform.
Lichten & Liss-Riordan, PC, representing Rideshare Drivers United, sued Uber for failing to implement an appeal process for drivers removed from its platform, claiming this violates protections set in place by Proposition 22.
"We're seeking a declaratory judgment statewide that Uber has not complied with Prop. 22," Shannon E. Liss-Riordan said at a press conference Monday outside the Earl Warren Building in San Francisco.
