The rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, planned to testify Wednesday in a copyright trial over whether he had permission to use disputed music on his Grammy-winning album "Donda," attorneys said.

The trial began Monday with opening statements and testimony.

Irene Y. Lee of Russ August & Kabat, appearing for plaintiffs Artist Revenue Advocates, pointed to deposition testimony in which Ye admitted to using the original music during a widely streamed 2021...
