Immigration courts losing judges amid firings, resignations, panel warns

Current and former immigration judges warned Thursday that mass departures, political pressure and rising caseloads are straining courts and threatening judicial independence.

Immigration courts are rapidly losing judges, with more than 200 fired, forced out or resigned in the past 14 months, current and former judges warned Thursday during a "Speak Up for Justice" panel discussion.
