San Diego County settles jail medical care class action

San Diego County agreed to major reforms to medical and dental care in its jail system under a class action settlement aimed at reducing preventable in-custody deaths.

San Diego County will overhaul medical and dental care across its seven jail facilities under a class action settlement resolving claims that substandard conditions caused preventable deaths and violated the constitutional rights of incarcerated people.
