Riverside jury rejects $200M real estate claim, awards $30M on counterclaim
A Riverside County jury handed Southland Equities a sweeping trial victory after rejecting nearly $200 million in claims brought by Portero Commercial and awarding the real estate investment firm $30 million on fraud- and contract-related counterclaims following an eight-week trial.
A Riverside County jury on Thursday handed California real estate investment firm Southland Equities a trial victory, capping an eight-week courtroom battle in which the company beat back nearly $200 million in claims.
