OpenAI agrees to $3.2M hiring bias settlement

The Justice Department alleged OpenAI illegally favored temporary visa holders over qualified U.S. workers in recruiting for technology jobs. The company will pay $3.2 million and overhaul its hiring practices.

The Justice Department announced Tuesday that OpenAI will pay $3.2 million to settle allegations that the artificial intelligence company illegally favored temporary visa holders over qualified U.S. workers in recruiting for technology jobs.
