Split 9th Circuit lets ex-CFO leave arbitration for harassment suit
A 2-1 9th Circuit panel allowed former Structure Therapeutics CFO Ding Ding to leave arbitration for court after discovering evidence supporting a sex-based harassment claim, with Judge Johnnie Rawlinson sharply dissenting.
A divided 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Wednesday that a former Structure Therapeutics Inc. chief financial officer may leave arbitration and pursue her claims in court after discovering evidence that her alleged workplace mistreatment was based on sex.
