OC court proposes local rule changes

If approved, the changes would take effect Jan. 1 and include two new rules and four amendments, according to the court's Rules and Forms Committee.

Orange County Superior Court is seeking public comment on proposed local rule changes affecting misdemeanor sentencing credits, remote juvenile restraining-order hearings, electronic filing in family law and surrogacy parentage procedures.

If approved, the changes would take effect Jan. 1 and include two new rules and four amendments, according to the court's Rules and Forms Committee. The proposals are open for public comment under California Rules of Court, rule 10.613.
