Los Angeles and attorneys for thousands of Palisades Fire victims will meet Oct. 2 with two veteran wildfire mediators to begin exploring a possible resolution process for the coordinated litigation.

The City of Los Angeles and attorneys representing thousands of Palisades Fire victims will meet with two veteran wildfire mediators on Oct. 2 to begin exploring what a potential resolution process for the coordinated January 2025 wildfire cases could look like.

The meeting will mark the first formal step toward mediation in the litigation, which has been underway for about 20 months, according to co-lead counsel for the individual plaintiffs.
