Nektar tells jury Lilly acquisition doomed drug partnership

Nektar CEO Howard Robin testified that Eli Lilly's interest in their autoimmune drug faded after it acquired a competing eczema treatment, while Lilly argued the end of the partnership left Nektar with greater financial upside.

A San Francisco federal jury heard competing accounts Wednesday of why Nektar Therapeutics' partnership with Eli Lilly and Company to develop an autoimmune drug collapsed, with Nektar accusing Lilly of losing interest after acquiring a competing treatment.
