WalkMe held liable after judge finds it intentionally destroyed evidence

A federal magistrate judge imposed terminating sanctions in an employment discrimination case, finding WalkMe repeatedly failed to preserve laptops and emails despite being put on notice of its obligations.

A federal magistrate judge has held SAP-owned software company WalkMe liable in an employment discrimination lawsuit after finding it intentionally destroyed key evidence despite repeatedly being told to preserve it.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Sallie Kim granted the plaintiffs' request for terminating sanctions against San Francisco-based WalkMe, finding the company's destruction of laptops and emails amounted to spoliation. The case will proceed to trial on damages.
