Struggling with your holiday gift list? Introduced in August by Billable Hours Unlimited, My Pet Lawyer may be just the thing. The battery-powered action figure laughs demonically and growls ferociously--on command--while his eyes and mouth flash red. With his remote-controlled briefcase, you can scare opposing counsel while they're waiting for you in the conference room: Press a button from around the corner and your Pet says any of nine phrases (try "You talkin' to me, Sharkbait?" or "Pro Bono? Never heard of him."). Pet owners can also record their own song, customized curse, or message ("Wanna come upstairs and see my briefs?"). All you need to provide is a tiny screwdriver, two AAA batteries, and a bit of impish creativity. The briefcase comes complete with a crushed victim; wigs for your pet are purchased separately. Sold in a doghouse-shaped carrying case for about $35 each, Pet Lawyers are available primarily online (www.mypetlawyer.com), either as sole practitioners or in a discounted "firm" of six attorneys.
