The Long Beach Bar Association celebrated its 100th Centennial Gala on Oct. 26 at the Hilton Long Beach. More than 260 people attended, including Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia and keynote speaker California Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye. She discussed the need for equal access to justice and the work of the judiciary.

The bar association’s co-presidents, David Haberbush and Pamela A. Swindells, presented Vern D. Schooley of Fulwider Patton LLP, the centennial chair, with an award honoring his contribution to the association.
