Robert S. Mann, a multi-year Daily Journal Top 50 Neutral mediates and arbitrates real estate, construction and business disputes at ADR Services, Inc. Widely considered one of California's most accomplished mediators, Mr. Mann has successfully mediated more than 2,000 complex matters. He is known for his ability to rapidly assimilate the most complex factual and legal issues and extract from them the key factors that will likely determine the outcome of the matter to assist the parties and their counsel to effectively evaluate and manage risk. He is sought after for his skill in resolving even the most difficult and contentious matters. He brings to mediation a unique combination of people skills, technical skills, litigation experience and arbitration experience along with patience, humor, firmness, and a philosophy of never giving up on a settlement. Mr. Mann has a deep technical background in construction, having litigated, arbitrated and mediated hundreds of construction disputes involving both residential and commercial private works cases and large public works cases. He is the author of a major technical book on construction, "Defect-Free Buildings" published by McGraw-Hill in 2007. Mr. Mann has an equally deep background in cases involving real estate agents and brokers, having mediated hundreds of such disputes and he has successfully resolved hundreds of disputes between homeowners and homeowner associations.

He has tried more than 75 cases to verdict and was the lead counsel in the longest construction arbitration in the history of California--a matter than spanned 261 hearing days--in which he obtained arbitration awards of more than $90 million.

Mr. Mann lectures and writes extensively and is the author of more than 70 articles on mediation and arbitration published in the California State Bar Journal, Los Angeles Lawyer and the Daily Journal.
