Judge Elizabeth Feffer

After serving 13 years on the Los Angeles Superior Court, Judge Elizabeth Feffer is available through ADR Services as a mediator, arbitrator, judge pro tem, and judicial and discovery referee in all areas of civil law and family law. While on the bench, Judge Feffer presided over an unlimited jurisdiction civil independent calendar court, a civil trial court, and a family law court at the downtown Stanley Mosk Courthouse. Her judicial experience includes presiding over more than 75 civil jury trials, more than 500 civil bench trials, hundreds of family law bench trials, hundreds of civil and family law evidentiary hearings, and numerous settlement conferences, with a diverse range of complex factual and legal issues.

Judge Feffer's civil judicial experience includes nearly every type of civil litigation matter: labor/employment, business/commercial contract and partnership disputes, entertainment, medical and dental malpractice, legal malpractice, personal injury, elder abuse, products liability, real estate, construction defect, intellectual property, insurance coverage, land use, and eminent domain. Judge Feffer's family law judicial experience includes all types of contested and complex family law subject matters, including business valuation, property valuation and characterization, validity of pre-marital agreements, child custody and support, and spousal support.

Judge Feffer earned her J.D. at the USC Gould School of Law, her M.A. at the USC Annenberg School for Communication, and her B.A. from UCLA (where she was a sportswriter for the Daily Bruin).

Judge Feffer is a member of California, Arizona, and Idaho State Bars. Judge Feffer is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court; Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals; United States District Courts in California (Central and Southern Districts), Arizona, and Idaho; and the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Idaho. Before her appointment to the bench, Judge Feffer served as a partner and trial lawyer litigating civil actions in state and federal court, on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. In 2004, she was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star, in civil rights.
