9th Circuit judge to receive 2022 Susan and Carl Bolch Jr. Prize
The prize will be awarded on March 18 at a ceremony in San Diego. Wallace has been a federal judge for 50 years, first on the district court in San Diego and then the 9th Circuit.
Chief Judge Emeritus J. Clifford Wallace of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will receive the 2022 Susan and Carl Bolch Jr. Prize for the Rule of Law at Duke Law School. The Bolch Judicial Institute awards the prize each year to "an individual or organization who has demonstrated extraordinary dedication to the rule of law and advancing rule of law principles around the world." The prize will be awarded on March 18 at a ceremony in San Diego. Wallace has been a federal judge for 50 years, first on the district court in San Diego and then the 9th Circuit. He was chief judge of the circuit from 1991 to 1996.
