The San Diego tax boutique Hone Maxwell LLP said Tuesday that it would open an office in Singapore in January.
"We are thrilled to bring our unique blend of international tax and business law to the heart of Southeast Asia," firm managing partner Josh Maxwell said. "Our long-standing ties to the region have paved the way for this exciting venture."
The Singapore office will be led by associate Jared Garfield.
"I'm excited to try new things, work with people who have different life experiences, and be immersed in new cultures," Garfield said. "Being trusted with this endeavor is a true privilege, and I'm eager to collaborate with our clients and partners across Asia."
The firm, which has nine attorneys, also has offices in San Francisco and Tijuana, Mexico.
