With a stellar reputation established over the course of his impressive, five-decade legal career, Judge Bryan F. Foster describes his approach to private dispute resolution as “guiding the analysis of the issues so that a meaningful discussion can be achieved and a just result can be obtained by all.”
Appointed in 2003, Judge Foster served on the San Bernardino County Superior Court bench for 20 years, holding multiple judicial positions, including serving as the supervising judge of the Morongo District and serving more than 12 years in the civil trial department. He has overseen more than 500 jury trials and handled thousands of motions in almost every area of law. Prior to his appointment, he was a partner at a civil litigation firm and tried a myriad of cases involving real estate, personal injury, construction defect, probate, and family law for nearly 30 years. He joined Judicate West in 2023.
Judge Foster’s reputation as a top-notch jurist extends beyond the courtroom, and he has been recognized by the legal community for his outstanding career. He was named “Trial Judge of the Year” by the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association in 2021, the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) in 2015, and the Consumer Attorneys of the Inland Empire in 2013. Judge Foster also received the “Kaufman Campbell Award for Judicial Excellence” from the San Bernardino Bar Association in 2018 and the “President’s Award” from ABOTA in 2014.
