Stephen M. Benardo, Esq.

Stephen M. Benardo is a panel mediator and Arbitrator for ARC Alternative Resolution Centers and for the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Mr. Benardo also serves as a panel mediator for the United States District Court for the Central District of California and as a settlement officer for the Los Angeles County Superior Court (LASC) through the Resolve Mediation program. He previously served as a settlement officer in the LASC CRASH Mediation Program and as a volunteer mediator for the LASC Small Claims Division through the Center for Conflict Resolution (CCR).

With more than thirty years of experience as an employment lawyer, Mr. Benardo is regarded as an expert on a wide-range of employment law issues from wage and hour and PAGA, to discrimination and harassment, to wrongful termination, to retaliation and whistleblowing, to trade secrets, unfair competition, and employee mobility, and to almost every area of law governing employers and employees.

As a litigator, Mr. Benardo represented both employers and employees in mediations, ranging from single-plaintiff cases, to multi-plaintiff cases, to wage and hour class actions. As a defense attorney, he worked for multi-billion dollar companies, single individuals, and all kinds of clients in between. As a plaintiffs’ attorney, he handled cases ranging from class actions with potential damages of over $100 million to individual cases with as little as $10,000 at stake.
