Lieutenant

The Navy taught me that privileged people and nations should come together to help the weaker and lesser resourced, as in Restore Hope. Many of our cases involve underprivileged communities seeking to protect their homes, families, and health against pollution. In the early 2000's, our lawfirm helped local communities create two state parks, the State Historic Park of Los Angeles and the Rio De Los Angeles State Park, in urban, park-poor areas of Los Angeles.

The Navy helped me relate to and appreciate people of varying backgrounds from areas ranging from the backwoods and ranches of rural states to the densest, heavily urbanized cities. Working with others serving our country to promote the common good forges bonds of service. Still today, I try to help others and serve a greater good. A life of service did not close when I resigned from the Navy but instead continues in different ways.
