E-4
I had neither the maturity nor the financial ability to attend college - the Army provided both and I remain grateful.
It means that most things in life are easy in comparison to what I did during my brief time in the Army. It means I have a group of friends for life who share experiences that are sometimes difficult to describe. It means that, during any movie or television show involving artillery, I feel compelled to identify the piece and describe its functionality to my poor wife and children. And it means I have an obligation to help vets and vet families facing challenges related to their service.
