Kern County Superior Court

Served 1999 to 2004 (active duty) 2004-2006 (inactive ready reserves)

E-5 / Sergeant

The Army instilled in me a lifelong commitment to public service, and reinforced a moral code that I have followed for my entire adult life. My time in the Army also had very practical benefits for me. As a first generation college student who grew up without a father, and as someone who left home at 11, my time on active duty was the most stable period in my life up to that point. For the first time in my life I had a reliable source for food, shelter, medical care, and money for college. Without that support, I don't think I would have been able to attend law school.

A veteran is someone who was willing to put themself in harm's way to support and defend the Constitution and U.S./ allied forces, domestically and overseas.
