Captain
I served as a JAG Corps officer, prosecuting G.I.s for offenses like theft and bribery, and handled claims from French citizens against the U.S. military. These experiences taught me to communicate effectively and understand people's problems. My time in the service shaped my approach to law, providing valuable insights into justice, integrity, and the importance of serving others.
Being a veteran means a great deal to me, as my time in the service during my late twenties was incredibly formative. Spending three years abroad shaped my worldview, and when I returned to Washington, D.C., I carried those experiences with me. I felt immense pride seeing the respect for America in Europe, which deepened my sense of responsibility. Serving my country helped me grow personally and professionally, instilling a lasting appreciation for our values and freedoms.
