Judge, San Diego County Superior Court

Served 2002 to present

Lieutenant Colonel

Military service instilled in me the importance of having purpose and being calm under stressful conditions. As a Marine I knew my work in contributing to the protection of our country was necessary and important. Having that purpose contributes to a positive attitude toward work and life. I also learned that when a situation seems stressful or chaotic, remaining calm provides space for rational and impactful decisions.

Being a Veteran gives me perspective. I have a unique appreciation for the freedoms and protections our country and judicial system provide.
